Step #1... Dream A Little

The first step is to dream a little. Don't be too realistic, or practical at this point of the process. There are quite a few good online resources to get you started.

Now would be a good time to jot down some ideas and perhaps draw some sketches of what you would like your new home to look like and what features it should include. Some of the things you can include are the following:

• What style home, ie- Rambler, Daylight Basement, 2-Story, Multi-Level.
• Features inside your home, ie- Number of bedrooms, media room, wet bar etc.
• Use of space, ie- Open, flowing spaces. Or traditional, well defined spaces.
